PingPlotter Freeware release notes
Version 1.20.0 - 3/28/2007.
Changes:
- Uses Windows XP themes / menu styles.
- Copy as text improvements (including summary).
- Several enhancements, bug fixes and performance improvements done to main engine.
- Now uses truetype fonts in the grid instead of just the system font.
- Much better support for Vista UI elements, including Aero / Glass.
- New program icon graphic.
- Will now accept targets in the form of http://sitename/pagename - will strip the http:// and pagename parts.
- New help file in HTML Help format.
Version 1.10.0 - 9/18/2001.
New features:
- Now shows packet loss in percentages - rather than just an error count
- Entirely new engine - lower CPU use and Ping Plotter no longer makes it so your machine needs to be rebooted after a lot of samples. (Uses same engine as shareware 2.x versions)
- Multi-threading more reliable, data no longer lost when attack rate is very high and/or packet loss is high
- Columns can now be resized
- Copy as Image functionality is prettier
- All URLs in program and help file now point to PingPlotter.com instead of old web site.
- Ping Plotter Freeware now has a text line that promotes the shareware version.
- Right-click menu on the grid to turn on/off grid features.
- Ability to turn off min/max line on graph
- Ability to show min and max values for the time period (in the grid)
- Current times now shown in own column rather than combined in column with old average.
- Double-clicking an address in the history list automatically starts tracing.
- Round Trip line shown below final destination re-displays time and shows destination reached
- Closing Ping Plotter while maximized no longer saves the size as full-screen (not maximized) when you restart
- Route lengthening / shortening is handled, and the current route data is always shown (previous, the "original" route was shown only).
