CloudConnect System Requirements

All of the listed operating systems and hardware are valid for new installations of PingPlotter CloudConnect Controllers or Agents.

Windows Version Requirements

  • Windows 7 SP1 (32 & 64 bit)*
  • Windows Server 2008 (32 & 64 bit)*
  • Windows Server 2012 (32 & 64 bit)*
  • Windows Server 2016 (32 & 64 bit)*
  • Windows 8 (32 & 64 bit)*
  • Windows 10 (32 & 64 bit)*

All Windows service packs are supported unless otherwise listed.

macOS Version Requirements

  • OS X Yosemite (10.10)
  • OS X El Capitan (10.11)
  • macOS Sierra (10.12)
  • macOS High Sierra (10.13)
  • macOS Mojave (10.14)
  • macOS Catalina (10.15)

Minimum Hardware Requirements

  • 55MB of disk space (20MB installer, 35MB app). This does not include any additional storage for collected PingPlotter trace data
  • 1 GHz or faster processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • (Windows only) .NET Framework is required to run PingPlotter and requires an additional 850MB on x86 and 4.5GB on x64 if not already installed.

Recommended Requirements

  • 55MB of disk space (20MB installer, 35MB app). This does not include any additional storage for collected PingPlotter trace data. We recommend setting up a data maintenance strategy for managing trace data
  • 2 GHz or faster processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • (Windows only) .NET Framework is required to run PingPlotter and requires an additional 850MB on x86 and 4.5GB on x64 if not already installed.

Network Requirements

  • An internet connection.
  • Web Sockets Secure (WSS) enabled on your network and the machines you're running PingPlotter on. Here is a good test to make sure WSS is enabled.
  • HTTPS requests to connect.pingplotter.com enabled. To test this, head here and make sure the output in the top left says {"value":{"error":"Must be a websockets request"}}.
