Options - General ***Note: Starting with PingPlotter v2.60 a new more efficient way of navigating all of the different options within PingPlotter was introduced. If you have a version of PingPlotter earlier than 2.60 your screen won't look like this. To download and upgrade to the latest version of PingPlotter 2.x, please go to the PingPlotter download page at www.pingplotter.com/download.html. 2. When this option is toggled on, the "round trip time", or the time in milliseconds to and from the final hop if it's responding, will be shown under the Trace Graph. 3. The starting hop that's displayed in the Trace Graph can be changed from the default (the default is show all hops) if you'd like to not show your router for instance. This is especially useful if you're using a cable modem, or something similar, that's at hop 1 and never responds. You can change this value to only show the final hop, or to start at hops 1 through 6. 4. PingPlotter allows you to specify the maximum number of samples that it should keep in memory. The default value is 0, or all samples are retained in memory. This is normally fine, except if you're doing long-term tracing to a target. The amount of memory that is used can start adding up in this case, so you can then adjust this value accordingly. 5. If more than 75 samples exist in memory, checking this option will tell PingPlotter to ask you if you want to save your trace data when you shutdown/exit PingPlotter.
